Truffalo received a silver award winner at The 2017 International Cheese awards, Nantwich. Dense, slightly nutty, black truffle infused, sweet, savory creates complex flavors with mineral accents in a rich lactic flavor structure that shows the terroir of Prince Edward County. Mild saltiness makes it a perfect match for complex medium bodied red wines.
I’m no cheese expert for sure, but of all the truffle infused cheeses I’ve tried, this is my personal favourite. I enjoy that it’s a subtle cheese with layers of flavours, not just truffle. It’s really enjoyable for all levels of turophiles! Can’t wait to place my next order online (thank you for continuing to find a way to share your delicious cheeses during the pandemic).

Our milk comes from the Ontario Water Buffalo Company and it must be world class because this cheese has won silver medals twice at the 2017 and 2019 International cheese awards. Perhaps next time if it is available you can try our goat truffle capreggio which also won a silver medal in 2019 ( the honey truffle chevre received gold btw).
