On March 14, Maple in The County organizers made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Maple in The County festival as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. While organizers are saddened that Maple in The County will not be taking place this year, the health and well-being of the community and the guests they welcome to their sugar shacks, farms and participating businesses is the top priority. While the festival will not take place this year, maple conditions have been ideal this year and Prince Edward County’s maple syrup producers are hard at work and continuing to produce maple syrup, maple butter and other maple products.
